Today started like any other ordinary day… except it wasn’t. I went to the farm with my parents, thinking, “Let’s help them out a bit...it’ll be fun!” (Spoiler alert: farming is not light cardio.)
So there I was, in the field, hands in the soil, sun on my back, pretending to be all “farm girl aesthetic” for exactly... one hour. That’s it. One solid hour of pretending I was built for this, and my body clocked out like, “Ma’am, this isn’t your thing.”
I came home with muddy hands and feet, looking like a rejected contestant from Khatron Ke Khiladi: Farm Edition. After a quick clean-up and lunch, I tried to jump into my study routine. But the tiredness hit harder than I expected. I surrendered to sleep with a guilty heart.
And while I was snuggled in a cozy nap, my parents were still at the farm...working in the sun, sweating it out. That thought hit deep. The guilt of scrolling reels, watching TV, and enjoying comfort while they worked so hard stirred something inside me. We really underestimate what our parents do, don't we?
πΏ But here’s the good part:
I woke up, shook off the guilt, and went back to my books. Slowly but surely, I managed to complete all my targets for the day. ✅
Then the evening arrived like a sweet reward. My uncle came home from work, bringing along some yummy snacks (the kind that makes your tired soul do a happy dance). We all sat together, munching, laughing, and my brother threw in his usual dose of ridiculous jokes....which, of course, turned into a laughter riot.
After all the noise, I decided to take a little break for me. I freshened up, popped in my earphones, and stepped outside for a peaceful walk. Just me, the cool breeze, my favorite playlist, and the soft calm of the evening sky. ππΆ
✨ Life Lesson of the Day:
It’s okay to get tired.
It’s okay to nap.
But it’s also important to reflect, reset, and respect the efforts of those around us.
Whether it’s one hour in the mud or a moment under the stars with your headphones on...life keeps teaching us, softly and silently.
And sometimes? Growth looks like helping in the field, laughing with family, finishing your goals... and dancing to your favorite song under the sky....
